The Chairman and County Commissioners of Early County, have joined Early County Board of Education, and City of Blakely, with providing notice of intention of the County of Early, to opt out of the adjusted base year of ad valorem homestead exemption created by House Bill 581.  This action will not affect any current homestead exemptions that are currently in place.  Public hearings on this matter will be held in the Theatre located on 202 Court square in Blakely on January 30th at 6:00 p.m. February 3rd at 1:00 p.m. and February 6th at 5:00 p.m..
